Our "aha" moment came when I asked my wife "what can I attach to our cup body that would be nautical themed"? Her immediate response was "how about a boat cleat?". And as they say...the rest was history.
Over a Mason jar of Goombay smashes and several cheap beers, the idea evolved. Of course, this couldn't be possible without the further creativity of our business partner, marketing guru, and Goombay mixer (not to mention family member) Tom.

In January of 2018, we created our internal "Veterans Helping Veterans" program. A portion of our profits are distributed to charitable veterans organizations, to include DAV, Wounded Warriors, Gary Sinise Foundation, and others.

In addition, he is a veteran of the USAF, stationed at Pope AFB, NC with the 317th TAW. He was a C-130E aircraft jet engine technician who traveled extensively to include a short 8 month deployment serving during Operation Desert Shield/Storm.
