About Us

Cleatus Cups
Cleatus Cups is a new company with an old philosophy: an enduring respect and appreciation of all things ocean, inlet, and river.

Our "aha" moment came when I asked my wife "what can I attach to our cup body that would be nautical themed"? Her immediate response was "how about a boat cleat?". And as they say...the rest was history.

Over a Mason jar of Goombay smashes and several cheap beers, the idea evolved. Of course, this couldn't be possible without the further creativity of our business partner, marketing guru, and Goombay mixer (not to mention family member) Tom.

Our company is Veteran Owned and Proudly Served. From Key West, Florida, to North Carolina's Outer Banks (and beyond), we hope you enjoy our Cleatus Cup and other future "Cleatus" endeavors. In January of 2018, we created our internal "Veterans Helping Veterans" program. A portion of our profits are distributed to charitable veterans organizations, to include DAV, Wounded Warriors, Gary Sinise Foundation, and others.

Small, but explosive...We are creative, imaginative, and dedicated. We work hard to get it done and play harder when it's done.

Love my cups!

I have purchased many cups, coolers, and bottle openers. Great products, but especially love the cups with the fun-meter! Love that these are American made by veterans who give back to other veteran groups. Keep up the good work!
